Bill Kenwright leaves intensive care after surgery to remove tumour

Everton’s chairman, Bill Kenwright, has been in intensive care following complications during surgery to remove a cancerous tumour from his liver.

The 78-year-old is recovering at home having undergone surgery six weeks ago. The operation has been deemed a success but resulted in Kenwright spending “a prolonged period in an intensive care unit” according to an announcement from Everton.
