PGMOL set to reject Liverpool’s complaints and back officials

* Club objected to two decisions in draw with Aston Villa * Referees’ body to rule both as plausible interpretations Liverpool’s frustration over key refereeing decisions during the Premier League draw with Aston Villa on Saturday is set to be rebuffed by Professional Game Match Officials Limited, with the referees’ body backing the interpretations of its officials. The club wrote to PGMOL at the weekend asking for clarity on why Cody Gakpo had a goal ruled out for offside and Tyrone Mings received only a yellow card for a high challenge on the forward.
